About 4000 light years away, which in the scheme of things is relatively close or even in our galactic neighborhood, if you will, is a new deep-space object never before seen.
A student, in the outback, Tyrone O'Doherty, used the Murchison Widefield Array telescope in Australia, and discovered an odd object. Odd in behavior mainly.

A somewhat newer discovery called “short-radio-bursts”, have been detected in a few places with Radio telescopes. Which is defined by a magnetar, a neutron star or pulsar with a powerful megnetic field. They’re thought to be the source of these bursts of energy or “gamma”. Another name is FRB or fast radio bursts. From this assumption, scientist have also hypothesized a different kind of star before detecting this totally new and “spooky “ behavior.

What astrophysicists had theorized was called an "ultra-long-period magnetar." Which could’ve been created from a collapsed core of a star that has a “ultra-powerful magnetic field” and spins very slowly. This particular discovery giving off huge long lasting bursts every 18 minutes. It’s stopped for now but the Southern Hemisphere, who has a direct line of sight to the event, is on high alert.
